Brothers Joe and Eugene Peschel, natives of Axtell, Kansas, held the open house for their new Oliver dealership on Tuesday, April 19, 1966. The first load of machinery for the new dealership arrived on March 7, 1966. Their dealership was located at 304 Center Street in Marysville. Previously, the Oliver dealer in Marysville had been Carney Machine and Supply Co. carrying the Oliver and Minneapolis-Moline lines. When they began the partnership, Gene ran the shop and Joe ran the office and did sales. In 1967, Peschel's moved to 400 Center Street and added one employee. That same year, Peschel's earned the Oliver President's Honor Council Award. As a successful Oliver dealership, Joe and Gene attended the dealer fly-in held in Torrance, California in November 1969. This event was held at the Advance Products Division of the White Motor Corporation and featured the debut of the Oliver 2455 tractor. As the business grew, they needed more space so a property was purchased 1.5 miles east of Marysville on Highway 36 in 1969. They moved the dealership to this new location in 1970. Unfortunately, on Monday, October 30, 1972, a spark from a welder fell into a drum of oil and caused a fire destroying the Peschel Implement building.

But the fire was only a temporary setback! Joe and Gene rebuilt and moved to their final location in the summer in 1973. As Oliver transitioned to White Farm Equipment in the mid 1970's, Peschel's continued with the White line of equipment as their primary farm equipment offering. By June of 1979, more space was needed again so Peschel's built a 40' x 120' metal building for storage and equipment setup. Even during the turmoil of the 1980's, Peschel Brothers expanded in March 1985 and bought the former Waterville Implement business and operated a second location as a Deutz-Allis-Gleaner dealership at 208 West Main in Waterville, Kansas. In the 1980's, short line brands included: Glencoe, Kewanee, Great Plains, Landoll, Vicon, Dual, Versatile, Owatonna, Bobcat, Richardton, Land Pride, Kent, Westendorf, and Dixon mowers.
April 1, 1997 ushered in the beginning of the end for Peschel Implement. Joe and Gene sold their business to Meinhardt Farm Equipment but remained on staff with Gene as sales manager and Joe as parts/service manager. It was renamed Peschel Equipment Inc. at this time. A year later, Gene and Joe held a liquidation auction in April 1998 selling all their remaining inventory from the dealership. With over 30 years in the implement business with Oliver and White, Peschel's reached the end of the line. Today, the business lives on as KanEquip Inc. carrying the New Holland equipment line.
