What material are the signs made from?
Signs are made from 3mm aluminum composite sign material (ACM). ACM, or e-panel, is today's industry standard sign material consisting of a top and bottom layer made from a pre-finished white painted aluminum and a solid polyethylene core making them lightweight yet very durable and rust resistant. The sign design is directly printed on the ACM using a weather, fade, and abrasion resistant UV ink. A protective clear laminate liquid coating is then applied over the ink to give the sign even better protection from fading and scratches. Like all metal signs though, sharp objects WILL still scratch the finish of our signs too! We recommend you protect your sign from coming in contact with sharp or abrasive items any time you transport, handle or store your sign. Actual sign colors may vary slightly from the sample image. Signs are rated for indoor or outdoor use. Most signs come with either 2 or 4 pre-drilled 1/4" holes in the corners for easy installation.
How does the customized text work?
When you order a sign with customizable text, you will be asked to enter the custom text you would like on your sign in the Name and/or Location box located on the order screen. Enter the text exactly how you would like it to appear on the sign. All text will be in capital letters as this was how nearly all the original dealer and ag signs were formatted (unless you specifically request otherwise, just let us know when you order). Some signs include a second line of custom text for a location or your choice of other text. If you would like a location listed on this line, enter the text exactly how you would like it to appear on the sign. Once the order is received by Oliver Archives, the order will be reviewed and you will be contacted if there are any questions concerning the customized text before the sign is put into production.
How should I care for or clean your signs or banners?
Aluminum signs are printed and then coated with a sprayed clear laminate finish. Our manufacturer recommends using a citrus-based cleaner or a mixture of 70% isopropyl alcohol/30% water. Use a small amount of cleaner with a soft microfiber towel and wipe down the sign. Just like any painted metal surface, aluminum signs can be scratched by sharp objects or abrasive materials. Protect your sign from coming in contact with these items.
Fabric banners can be regularly cleaned as needed. Just like cloth, our polyester fabric banners can be machine washed in cold water and on a gentle cycle. Fabric banners should be laid flat or hung to dry. If needed, use a hand steamer to get rid of wrinkles or creases. Do not bleach, tumble dry, or iron fabric banners. To prevent your banner from fading, avoid displaying it in direct sunlight when possible.
Shipping/Pick-up FAQ
How will I get my order?
You have two options to receive your order:
1. Shipping: Orders will ship via UPS, FedEx, or USPS. Shipping for signs 48" and under in length is a flat fee of $18 per order for shipping in the continental 48 states. Signs greater than 48" in length and larger are currently shipping at a rate of $300 to locations in the continental 48 states. Unfortunately, large signs are very costly to ship due to their dimensions over 48" in length classifying them as oversized freight for our shippers in addition to the extensive packaging materials needed for large signs. Tip: Multiple large signs of the same size will ship for just the one shipping charge since they can fit in the same box - so find a fellow collector in your area, place your order together, and split the shipping to save!
Additionally, a free shipping discount code is offered at some times on select signs only - the code will be listed on the product order page for the sign/s included in the discount.
Shipping Rates as of December 2024:
Signs 48" x 24" or smaller, all banners, and clocks: $18 flat rate shipping per order.
Signs larger than 48" x 24" in size: $300 flat rate shipping per order. Contact us for a custom quote - some locations are less!
Tumblers: 1 or 2: $10.99 3 or more: $14.99
2. Pick-up: Most signs and products are available for pick-up. If you choose pick-up, you will be responsible for picking up your sign from the Oliver Archives headquarters located in Boone, Iowa. We will also offer free delivery of some sign orders to certain Oliver tractor shows and events if your order is placed in advance of the event date. Specific dates and events will be listed on the website and our Facebook page where delivery will be available. If you are interested in ordering a large sign for pick-up, contact us for options.
Anything else?
- Due to the custom nature of the signs and banners, are orders are final and no returns are offered.
- Production time will vary based on the item and quantity ordered. Our goal will be delivery of your order in approximately 2 weeks or less from when the order is placed.
- Order processing and payments made on our website are processed using Square. Square is an industry leading safe and secure payment processing system used by businesses across the United States. Checkout with ease knowing your information is safe!
- If you receive your order and it is damaged in shipping or has a manufacturing defect, please contact us within 48 hours of receiving your order so we can make it right with you! Some items ship direct from our manufacturers. Customer satisfaction is very important to us. We will work with you and our manufacturer and/or shipper to replace or refund items deemed damaged in shipping or defective in manufacturing.
